Well Met at The Met!

Sky Arts 2 are currently showing The Met’s production of Don Giovanni from October 2011.  It was while watching a live broadcast of this production at the cinema that I was inspired to write a sequel.  This gave rise to my first published novel, Leporello on the Lam.

The Met is also responsible for another novel of mine, the forthcoming The Assassin and His Sister, not so much a sequel as a happening-at-the-same-time-as. Suggested by Verdi’s Rigoletto, the book brings hitman Sparafucile and his sister Maddalena into the spotlight.  Watch this space for news of its release!

I shall continue to attend the broadcasts of The Met’s productions.  You never know what I might come up with!
